Tips for a successful Ribbon Cutting:
Schedule a date with the Chamber - Fill out application!
Select "Register" to the left. This will allow us to advertise better and have a proper introduction for you the day of the Ribbon Cutting. We advertise on the Event Calendar on the Website, publish a Facebook Event and send you a link so you can invite the people that support your dreams. We ask that you keep this date mindful, as we promote this event and encourage people to attend, therefore, it cannot be rescheduled.
The way to a crowd is through their stomach! - Not required but it's always nice to treat your guests to a little snack!
If you are hosting a Ribbon Cutting at your location, small finger foods or snack trays will do the job! It's always a good idea to have water on hand. Simple and laid back is the key.
If you are a part of a Group Ribbon Cutting, it's even easier. Each person just brings one thing. Check with the Chamber to see what the other members are bringing and what is still needed for your group.
Door Prizes - Again, Not required...just a tip!
Let's face it, door prizes are fun, and we want your party to be fun! We encourage you to use a door prize give-away that is related to your business. Any products that you sell always make for a good door prize...plus, it gets your product in the hand of a new potential returning customer. A gift card promoting your services or products is also a simple, good prize.
Share the Event - Social Media...the best marketing tool!
The Chamber creates a flyer and event page on Facebook. We will email the link to you so you can view, share, and invite your clients, friends, family, and biggest supporters! If you don't have social media you can still email the website link as well. We ask that you combine your efforts with those of the Chamber to help spread the word about your event to ensure a great turnout!
